The Citroen C4 Cactus was a small crossover SUV that was produced by the French firm between 2014 and 2020, with an extensive facelift occurring in 2020. Its quirky styling was central to its appeal, with an unconventional front lighting layout and curvy bodywork for an SUV. Its most distinctive features, though, were its ‘Air Bumps’, which were rubber side panels filled with air pockets that were designed to protect the car for parking scrapes. It was reasonably comfortable if rather unexceptional to drive, but was still an interesting alternative to the Peugeot 2008 and Dacia Duster.
