Although not a front-runner in the crowded and very competitive SUV marketplace, the Ford Kuga has plenty going for it. Now in its third generation and following a facelift in 2024, it’s packed with plenty of technology and safety features. Being a Ford, it’s also good to drive. While there’s no longer a diesel model following the facelift, the Kuga’s engine line-up is still a good one. It comprises a 1.5-litre petrol, a 2.5 hybrid with front- or all-wheel drive, and a 2.5 plug-in hybrid with front-wheel drive. The latter can cover between 37- and 42 miles on electric power alone. Rivals include the Kia Sportage, Hyundai Tucson, and Vauxhall Grandland, all of which offer up a strong case. So how does the Ford Kuga stack-up?
