Ford S-Max
The Ford S-Max is a mid-size seven-seat MPV that first went on sale in 2006, and was refreshed in 2015. For part of its life, it sat between the smaller Grand C-Max and larger Galaxy in Ford’s line-up of seven-seaters. It competed with cars such as the Citroen Grand C4 Picasso (later named the Grand C4 Spacetourer), Volkswagen Touran, Vauxhall Zafira, Toyota Verso, Mazda5 and many more. It was the sweetest-driving car in its class by some distance, managing to combine genuinely entertaining handling with a comfortable ride. Practicality was first-rate, too, with generous space and clever seats.

Very spacious for a 7 seater. Has good boot space and added extras included.
Fab for family of 6. Seats in boot not for adults or teenagers as not much leg room. Prefer 2008/09 dash
Absolutely diabolical! Picked up the car and didn’t even make it home before I started having problems with it! How it passed its MOT without any advisories only God knows! Definitely not worth what I paid at all!!!
I had a Seat Alhambra before this so I’m basically comparing it to that. The S Max is a great family car but it has a few little annoying niggles that are not good. The automatic gearbox is a bit slow at responding unless you keep it in sports mode. The phone connected to Bluetooth can’t seem to ever select the right contact, keeps bringing up 3 or 4 on the screen then distracts you by asking you to choose when you have asked clearly who you want. Another annoying thing is the parcel shelf catches on the 2 rear seatbelts every time you open or close it and it very difficult to remove without scraping the plastic.
