Customer summary
The Jaguar X-TYPE has generally received positive feedback across all model years, with owners appreciating its luxurious feel, solid performance, and unique driving experience. Many drivers favor the comfortable interiors and high-quality materials, such as leather and wood. The excellent sound system is also a standout feature. However, some concerns have been raised regarding potential rust issues, servicing costs, and specific mechanical problems like the transfer box, which can be expensive to replace. Overall, the X-TYPE is loved for its style and driving comfort, although some parts may come with a higher upkeep.

X-Type Jaguars offer great value for the money. Its a lot more than a badge engineered Ford Mondeo. They are nimble, fun to drive and easy to maintain. The estate is a great little "Town & Country" car to knock around in. Having owned several Jaguars, I wouldn't hesitate to consider another X-Type, especially for city driving.

Car was very good for its age, low mileage and no air conditioning belt or adjuster noise, inside was clean and no scuffs evident, could do with a wash and wax but otherwise a great car for a competitive price.
