The Kia Sorento is a large, comfortable and impressively well-rounded seven-seat SUV that blends useful practicality with modern hybrid technology and a genuinely upmarket feel. Available with hybrid, plug-in hybrid or diesel power, it caters for everything from urban family duties to long-distance towing, while its spacious interior, long list of safety equipment and excellent seven-year warranty make it a reassuring choice for family buyers. It may not be as sharp to drive as premium rivals from Audi or BMW, but for space, value, equipment and flexibility, the Sorento is one of the best large SUVs you can buy for sensible money.
