There’s a reason the Kia Sportage has proven so popular: clever touches inside aid its practicality, while equipment levels are generous. It’s not very exciting to drive, and the ride can get a bit clumpy if you go for a model with big wheels. But on the whole, the Sportage is a solid all-rounder that does the job of hauling a family around in an unspectacular, but hassle-free fashion.
