With an official WLTP range of up to 282 miles, the Kia e-Niro is the best long-range electric car you can buy short of the more expensive Tesla Model 3. It’s great to drive and a doddle to live with so could easily be the sole car for plenty of households, but it’s expensive next to some alternatives.

Only just bought it but seems to fit the bill with decent range and performance and buying second hand with low mileage saves £10k
