The styling has every ounce of glamour you’d expect from this exclusive Italian brand, and lots of luxury equipment is provided as standard. However, in most other tangible areas, the Ghibli trails its excellent rivals, and by some distance.

Beautiful car always gets the heads turning, great to drive loads of poke if required, no other marque to compare it with maybe a BMW 800. Nuisance electrics problem I had cost me a bomb for a survey to find the fault and they wanted £400 to replace the electronic unit which had had water in it. A contact told me to see if the part number was used on any other vehicle, guess what Chrysler had the same part for £35 . Unfortunately I crunched it up on the M25 but I’m looking for another.
