Firstly sold me a car they assured me was all good, just a bit of water damage in radio display unit - nothing at all mechanical only to find out the clutch was sticking and felt really dangerous to drive. Took it to my usual mechanic to look over it and was told there was at least 5 problems (including the radio display). The main problem being the clutch. I explained to the dealership and took it back, after being told it just needed a wishbone replacement which they did, they also put it through an MOT which came back completely clear, no advisories or anything. Yet upon driving, the clutch had the same problems (sticking to the floor, not able to get into gear) so again took it back to my mechanic and was told nothing had been changed and that if they had put it through a proper MOT it wouldn’t be clear, the tyres were practically bald, brake discs were heavily corroded etc. Phoned the dealership once again and took the car back for “further inspection” and after 3-4 days not hearing anything I rang up to ask for an update, only to be told that the best option I had was to return the car for a full refund - I wish that was the end of my issues. But after returning the car and getting a refund for the deposit (I had it on finance) a week later the refund had been recalled, so I rang them back. They couldn’t tell me why or what happened but I had another refund sent and so far it’s not been recalled. In the finance company front, because I made a first payment on a car I had returned I was told u would get that payment refunded also. I returned the car on 23rd January, they paid the finance company off on the 25th January and it’s now the 8th February and still not had my refund. (Will be phoning the finance company today to ask what’s going on). So yeah, all in all, had some real mess around. Not been a good start to the year."
