My daughters first car she loves it, we were surprised how spacious it is for a small car, far more room than my other daughters corsa d, and considerably cheaper to insure

The cars features are really good for a 2012. I think the price of car was very good for the condition of it.

Just got the seat abiza, and I love it, quite nippy for 1.4 petrol, nice size boot, nice looking interior, all and all a very nice car.

My expectations were high, considering that it is really a VW Polo at much less price. The drive is smooth and quiet and it handles beautifully on all roads, but loves the motorway. First class.

Seat Ibiza (2026) Pros and Cons
| Pros | Cons |
|---|---|
| Economical and efficient petrol engines | Interior design is starting to show its age |
| Good-looking design that's aged well | Could be a bit more fun to drive |
| Strong value for money | No hybrid or electric options |
Quick Summary
The Seat Ibiza is an excellent compact hatchback that delivers a spacious interior, efficient engines, a refined nature and stylish looks. Now in its fifth generation since 2017, it has remained relevant thanks to sharp styling, keen pricing and generous equipment levels. A facelift at the end of 2025 brought revised exterior styling with slimmer LED headlights, a new grille and bumpers, plus upgraded interior materials and an improved infotainment system. The current range features 1.0-litre turbocharged three-cylinder petrol engines with 94bhp or 113bhp, available with manual or automatic transmissions.
The Ibiza strikes a good balance between comfort and agility, feeling stable on the motorway whilst remaining responsive on country roads. With 355 litres of boot space and 60:40 folding rear seats, it offers practical versatility. Running costs are low, with the five-speed manual 1.0-litre TSI achieving up to 55.4mpg. Insurance groups are competitive, and fixed-price servicing is available. Whilst it doesn't have the polish of a Volkswagen Polo or the engagement of the old Ford Fiesta, its appealing blend of sharp styling, practicality, equipment and keen prices ensures strong appeal.
Best for: Budget-conscious buyers seeking a stylish, practical supermini with low running costs, good equipment levels and engaging driving dynamics.
Not ideal for: Those prioritising the latest electrification technology, maximum boot space, or the sharpest driving experience in the class.
Comparison vs Key Rivals
| Vehicle | CarGurus Expert Rating | CarGurus User Rating | Good/Great deals % | Overall CarGurus Rating |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Seat Ibiza | 4/5 | 5.0/5 | 32.9% | 4.5/5 |
| Volkswagen Polo | 4/5 | 4.5/5 | 32.9% | 4.5/5 |

| Skoda Fabia | 4/5 | 4.7/5 | 34.5% | 4.3/5 |
The Verdict
You should buy the Ibiza if: You're seeking a stylish, practical supermini with low running costs, good equipment levels and engaging driving dynamics at a competitive price.
Consider alternatives if: You prioritise the latest electrification technology, maximum boot space, or the sharpest driving experience in the class.
Competitive Position: The Seat Ibiza is a strong contender in the supermini market, offering excellent value, practicality and stylish design. Whilst it matches the Volkswagen Polo on overall rating, the Ibiza often undercuts it on price. The Renault Clio and Skoda Fabia offer fresher technology and more boot space respectively, but the Ibiza's blend of efficiency, equipment and keen pricing makes it a compelling choice. Its economical engines and low insurance groups particularly appeal to budget-conscious buyers and young drivers seeking a well-equipped, engaging supermini.
