Skoda Enyaq (2025) Pros and Cons
| Pros | Cons |
|---|---|
| Strong value compared with rival electric SUVs | Pre-2025 cars have less generous standard equipment |
| Excellent passenger space and a large boot | Touchscreen can be slow to respond on earlier models |
| Comfortable ride and well-judged handling | Sporty vRS version prioritises pace over enjoyment |
Quick Summary
The Skoda Enyaq is a fantastic family electric SUV that stands comparison with anything else of a similar size, regardless of power source. Launched in 2020 and substantially updated in early 2025, it majors on space and practicality without shouting too loudly. The range includes the standard Enyaq SUV, the sportier Enyaq Coupe, and the high-performance vRS model. All versions are fully electric, based on Volkswagen Group's MEB platform, and designed to prioritise comfort, versatility and space over sportiness and glamour.
The Enyaq offers a 585-litre boot, excellent rear passenger space, and a calm, well-appointed interior. With two main battery options—the 63kWh (201bhp) and 82kWh (282bhp)—it delivers smooth, progressive performance rather than raw excitement. The 2025 update sharpens the design, improves efficiency, and adds more standard kit. At around £18,400, it represents excellent value for an electric car with this range and practicality. Running costs are typically much lower than petrol or diesel equivalents, with company car tax as low as £20 per month thanks to the 3% BiK rate.
Best for: Families seeking a spacious, comfortable, and practical electric SUV with excellent value, those prioritising comfort and refinement over sportiness, and buyers wanting low running costs and generous standard equipment.
Not ideal for: Those wanting a seven-seat option, drivers seeking maximum excitement from the vRS model, or buyers wanting a front boot for convenient cable storage.

The Verdict
You should buy the Enyaq if: You're seeking a spacious, comfortable, and practical electric SUV with excellent value, prioritising comfort and refinement over sportiness, or wanting low running costs and generous standard equipment.
Consider alternatives if: You need a seven-seat option, desire maximum excitement from a performance model, or require a front boot for convenient cable storage.
Competitive Position: The Skoda Enyaq is a strong contender in the electric SUV market, offering excellent value, practicality, and comfort. Whilst the Kia e-Niro edges ahead on user ratings and deal availability, the Enyaq matches it on expert rating and delivers superior space and a more refined interior. It outperforms the Volkswagen ID.4 and Ford Mustang Mach-E on expert rating, making it an outstanding choice for families prioritising comfort and practicality. The 2025 update reinforces its position as one of the best electric family cars available, combining spaciousness, comfort, quiet refinement and excellent value.

4 Overall rating
(2 reviews)Very good value,very nice car,lots of extras,lots of storage, great car
This car is a family car. Once purchased according to Skoda you can not fit a Tow Bar. This I understand is due to the Vin plate not stamped with the appropriate capability in factory. They say prep must be carried out with them. What good is this. All marketing leaflets etc show weights car is able to Tow. I placed an order with a showroom car . Day after I remembered I need Tow Bar for my bikes. Skoda say No, must be fitted at factory. Had to cancel order. Car only 50K ! Legal requirement in Uk. Skoda also said you can put bikes on roof rack. Must have Superman at factory to lift e bikes. I will now spend my 50k with a competitor.
