The Suzuki Vitara has garnered positive feedback for its compact size, making it easy to park and drive. Owners appreciate the vehicle's comfort, impressive visibility, and the feel-good handling it offers. However, some noted issues with road and wind noise that can detract from the overall driving experience. The boot space could be larger, but most find it acceptable, contributing to the vehicle's good value for the price.

Unlike many 4wd cars that are the size of tanks, the Vitara is compact outside which makes for easier parking and driving in narrow spaces. Its comfortable and has great all-round views through large windows. Theres some road and wind noise which spoils the experience but its a feel-good drive that handles easily. The shape is a personal choice but I think it stands out from most big-car style 4wds. Boot space could be bigger but its not a deal changer for me. I really like this car and Ive had about 15-20 in my lifetime (some wrecks, some gems) but Id recommend the Vitara.

Suzuki Vitara (2015-present) Pros and Cons
| Pros | Cons |
|---|---|
| Good to drive, and comfortable too | Disappointing interior quality |
| Lively 1.4-litre engine | 1.0-litre model is quite slow |
| Lots of space inside | Vague steering |
Quick Summary
The Suzuki Vitara (2015-present) is a compact SUV that punches above its weight in the increasingly crowded small SUV market. Launched in 2015, it offers a compelling blend of practicality, driving enjoyment, and versatility. With generous interior space, comfortable seating for four, and a boot offering either 362 litres (mild hybrid) or 289 litres (full hybrid), the Vitara provides excellent everyday usability. The cabin features logical controls and standard touchscreen infotainment on most trims, though interior materials feel less premium than some rivals.
The Vitara delivers an engaging driving experience with responsive handling and good grip, particularly with the lively 1.4-litre turbocharged petrol engine. Engine options include a 1.6-litre diesel (achieving around 55mpg), 1.6-litre petrol (40mpg), 1.4-litre turbo (40mpg), and 1.0-litre turbo (45-50mpg). Automatic gearboxes and four-wheel drive are available across the range, adding versatility. Running costs are reasonable, with competitive servicing packages available through Suzuki dealers. The firm suspension delivers sharp body control but can feel jittery over poor surfaces. Wind and road noise are noticeable, though not excessive.
Best for: Buyers seeking a practical, fun-to-drive compact SUV with excellent space and versatility, those wanting four-wheel drive or automatic transmission options, and drivers prioritising reliability and value.
Not ideal for: Those demanding premium interior quality, seeking the softest ride, or wanting the quietest cabin in the class.
