The Toyota Aygo is a sound choice for those after a dependable, uncomplicated and straightforward city car. It rivals myriad compact cars, including the Volkswagen Up, but it’s more distinctive than some and can prove cheaper to run, thanks in part to a five-year warranty. However, its interior quality leaves much to be desired, and those seeking something comfortable on the motorway should look elsewhere.
