There was damage to the near side sill plus the rear bumper I was assured this was to be rectified. There was also evidence that the period between service was erratic which did not give confidence of the quality of the vehicle history.

The Zafira Tourer is a great 7 seater. I have the 2018 model and its pretty much similar size to The Ford S Max but ££££ cheaper. Its got all the technology I can deal with! Im over the moon with my purchase.

Vauxhall Zafira Tourer (2011-2018) Pros and Cons
| Pros | Cons |
|---|---|
| Very cheap to buy as a used car | The 1.8-litre petrol is weedy |
| Flexible and practical cabin for seven | Some MPVs have more space in the third row |
| Efficient and punchy diesel engines | A Ford S-Max is more enjoyable to drive |
Quick Summary
The Vauxhall Zafira Tourer (2011-2018) is a spacious and practical seven-seater MPV that offers exceptional value as a used car. Longer and wider than its predecessor, it provides considerably more room despite being closely related to the Astra. The Flex7 seating system is ingeniously designed, folding, sliding, and lowering to maximise flexibility, with a generous 710 litres of boot space when the third row is stowed. Well-equipped even in base trim with air-conditioning, cruise control, and six airbags, higher specifications like SRi and Elite offer extensive features. The 2016 facelift introduced an improved touchscreen infotainment system with DAB radio, Apple CarPlay, and Android Auto.
Engine options include a 138bhp 1.8-litre petrol, a more efficient 1.4-litre turbocharged petrol, and various diesel units ranging from 108bhp to 168bhp. The 1.6-litre CDTi diesel introduced in 2013 is particularly smooth and quiet, whilst the 1.4-litre turbo petrol offers better economy than the weaker 1.8. Diesel models are most economical, achieving 40-50mpg in real-world driving, whilst petrol versions return 30-35mpg. Running costs are reasonable for a seven-seater, with servicing required annually or every 20,000 miles. As a used car, the Zafira Tourer represents outstanding value, though buyers should note that some rivals offer more third-row space and the Ford S-Max provides superior driving dynamics.
Best for: Budget-conscious families seeking a spacious seven-seater, those prioritising practicality and flexible seating, and buyers wanting excellent value for money.
Not ideal for: Those seeking premium driving dynamics comparable to a Ford S-Max, drivers requiring maximum third-row legroom, or those preferring the more stylish interior of a Citroën Grand C4 Picasso.

The Verdict
You should buy the Zafira Tourer if: You're a budget-conscious family seeking a spacious seven-seater, prioritising practicality and flexible seating, or wanting excellent value for money.
Consider alternatives if: You seek premium driving dynamics comparable to a Ford S-Max, require maximum third-row legroom, or prefer the more stylish interior of a Citroën Grand C4 Picasso.
Competitive Position: The Vauxhall Zafira Tourer (2011-2018) is an outstanding bargain in the used MPV market, offering exceptional practicality and flexibility at a fraction of the cost of rivals. Whilst the Citroën Grand C4 Picasso boasts a more stylish interior and the Ford S-Max delivers superior driving dynamics, the Zafira Tourer's combination of affordability, spacious seven-seat cabin, and efficient diesel engines makes it an intelligent choice for families. With buyers increasingly turning to SUVs, used MPV prices have fallen dramatically, making the Zafira Tourer an exceptional value proposition for those willing to ignore motoring fashion.
