The new Volkswagen Multivan is a large van-like people carrier, and replacement for the very popular Caravelle. It’s all new for 2022, and unlike its predecessors, it’s not based on a commercial vehicle. Instead, its mechanical underpinnings are shared with various Volkswagen cars. Not only does that make it considerably better to drive than earlier models, it also allows a plug-in hybrid model. With huge amounts of space inside, a much more car-like driving experience than you might expect and a significant upgrade in interior quality, the Multivan could be just the ticket for those that need to carry a big family, a lot of stuff, or a combination of the two.
