Volkswagen Passat Review (2015-2023)
4
of 5 overall
Driving3/5
Practicality5/5
Running costs4/5
Tech and equipment4/5
Volkswagen’s Passat is a smart, dependable and capable option for those in the market for a family or executive car. It’s offered in both saloon and estate variants, with an array of diesel and petrol engines, and there’s even an off-road estate model called the Passat Alltrack. There is lots to like about the VW, but it can get expensive and upmarket rivals, such as the BMW 3 Series, are more satisfying to drive.

Reviewed a 2017 Volkswagen Passat on 24 Aug 2022
This vehicle is good value, a great car for motorway driving and carrying all the camping gear at weekends. Not as high spec or comfortable as the Mercedes Benz 220D sport Estate, but obviously cheaper to maintain/ service etc A great workhorse of a vehicle with reasonable level of comfort
