Volvo S90 Review (2016-present)

The Volvo S90 is a safe, comfortable, beautifully designed large car that works as either an executive saloon or a family car. It’s up against some excellent rivals from the premium German carmakers, but it manages to hold its own, simply by not competing on the same terms. Instead, it makes its case on its design, safety, comfort and its environmental credentials, the latter of which have been enhanced in 2020 as it’s now only available as a plug-in hybrid.

I have been patiently waiting for the right executive car at the right price and my list was Mercs E class, BMW 5series, and Audi A6 the Volvo was added to my list much later. I was pleased with the reviews and good value. I made a viewing and test drive appointment on seeing the car on the forecourt I immediately fell for its good looks and excellent features, lovely interiors comfortable seats and good MPG for such large vehicle.

I gave had an S90 D4 R Design for 2 years and have found it overall a very good car, excellent economy and handles well for a big car. I have just swapped it for an Inscription D4 now where normally I would change for another make.
