This is the third Volvo V70 I have owned over the last 19 years. The level of cabin refinement and in car infotainment is much better than one only a couple of years older. It is a great all round utility car great for moving kids at uni or just a tip run. It is best of all on long journeys. The seats are so comfortable and can be heated you arrive in good order. I love them and this one is the best yet. This is the 2.4 D5 model which is much better than some of the later 2.0 models. These are known to go on for more than 200000 miles without too many quibbles. I have owned manual gearbox and auto models. If you have ever driven an auto you will not regret it. On the down side, mileage around urban areas is heavy. The car benefits from longer runs as it helps keep the dpf clear. It is simply a pleasure to drive.

Very comfortable solid and feels well built a change from German cars

It is a solid safety orientated car. Full of useful gadgets and comfortable to drive. I would have preferred it to have a spare wheel instead of the inflatable foam as any blow out would mean that it could not be driven. In any case once you use the expanding foam it would mean that you would have to replace the tire instead of getting it repaired.
