It might look like a wild concept car, but this is the 2027 Nissan Juke that will arrive in showrooms next spring. It’s an all-new, all-electric version of the popular crossover that’ll be built in Sunderland and is likely to have a maximum range of almost 400 miles.
Here’s everything we know so far about the 2027 Nissan Juke.
2027 Nissan Juke: Price, Specs and Release Date

2027 Nissan Juke: styling and dimensions
Nissan hasn’t confirmed that the new Juke is inspired by the Japanese art of origami, but its dramatic bodywork creases suggest that’s the case. Take a printed image of the current Nissan Juke, crumple it up and then flatten it out a bit and you might end up with something like this.
While the new Juke’s overall shape and ‘hidden’ rear door handles are similar to the current model's, it does introduce some new elements. There’s a lot more black cladding around the wheel arches and bumpers, for starters, along with flush front door handles. The cars in the images released so far also have a contrasting colour for the entire rear body panel, as well as a quirky, vertically aligned ‘Juke’ badge and rear lights that form part of a U-shaped panel that stretches across the tailgate and down to the rear wheels.

There’s no word on exterior dimensions yet, but we expect the 2027 Juke will be a similar size to the current model. Underneath, the new electric version will share its basic platform with the latest Nissan Leaf, a model that’s about the same width and height as the petrol-powered Juke but about 14cm longer.

2027 Nissan Juke: interior design and practicality
Nissan hasn’t released any images of the new Juke’s interior, or any interior dimensions, so this is all guesswork for now.
We’d expect the interior design will share some elements with the related Nissan Leaf, which has a pleasantly simple look and a widescreen display similar to that of many Kia models. The Juke is likely to get a more ‘youthful’ look, however, given its different target market and the precedent set by the first- and second-generation Juke combustion-engined models.
Legroom is likely to be on a par with the Leaf, and headroom should be similar given that both have a swooping roofline. That means the Juke probably won’t be as family-friendly as some rival cars, and it’ll be interesting to see how spacious the rear seats feel thanks to those tiny rear windows.
Boot capacity is likely to be slightly less than the 437 litres you get in the Leaf, so should be similar to what a petrol-powered Juke offers and more than the 354 litres you get in a Juke hybrid model.

2027 Nissan Juke: engines and driving dynamics
The new Juke is expected to be offered with the same choice of batteries as the Leaf: a 52kWh standard option or a 75kWh ‘long-range’ derivative.
In the Leaf they give maximum ranges of 271 miles and 386 miles, which are very competitive for the class. You can expect similar figures for the Juke, given that it may be slightly lighter than the Leaf but not be as aerodynamically efficient.
Maximum charging speeds are likely to mirror those of the Leaf: 105kW for the standard battery and 150kW for the long-range model.

2027 Nissan Juke: price and release date
Prices for the 2027 Nissan Juke haven’t been released, but we’d expect a starting point of about £31,000. That’s roughly £1,000 more than the current entry-level Juke hybrid model, and about £5,000 more than the cheapest petrol-powered Juke. The arrival of the EV model isn’t likely to spell the end for the petrol/hybrid model, though – it’s due to be updated and sold alongside the new version for the foreseeable future.
The electric Juke is likely to follow the Leaf in qualifying for the full £3,750 of the Government’s Electric Car Grant (ECG), since it will be built alongside the Leaf in Sunderland and is expected to use the same battery packs.
More details of the new Juke will be announced closer to its on-sale date in spring 2027.
