Chinese brand Leapmotor is adding another model to its UK lineup with this, the Leapmotor B03X. Due on sale in spring 2026, it’s a compact electric SUV that will be a keenly-priced rival for cars such as the Ford Puma Gen-E and Renault 4 E-Tech.
Here’s what we know so far about the 2026 Leapmotor B03X.

2026 Leapmotor B03X: styling and dimensions
The Leapmotor B03X is called the A10 in its home market of China, but copyright issues mean that it will wear a different name badge in Europe and the UK. The new name reflects its upright, blocky styling (‘box’, geddit?), but like the larger Leapmotor B10 and C10 its bodywork has a smooth, rounded-off look.
While the B10 looks much like a scaled-down version of the C10, the B03X has a slightly different character, with separate lights (rather than full-width light bars) at the front and rear. There's also gloss-black ‘C’ pillar trim, for a 'floating roof' effect.
Leapmotor gives approximate dimensions of 4,200 mm in length, 1,800 mm in width, and 1,600 mm in height. That makes the B03X a close match for the Ford Puma Gen-E and Renault 4 E-Tech in size.
2026 Leapmotor B05: interior design and practicality
Leapmotor hasn’t released images of the B03X’s interior but it says that it will have an ‘AI-powered cockpit’. The design is likely to be similar to that of the B10, with a large, landscape-format central touchscreen and few physical switches.
The B03X’s tall roofline should give it good headroom, while Leapmotor quotes a wheelbase of 2,600mm+ (more than the Ford Puma), so legroom should be competitive. The chunky, upright rear end bodes well for boot space, too.
2026 Leapmotor B03X: engines and driving dynamics
Technical data for the B03X is limited, but Leapmotor says that it uses an ‘ultra-high-density’ lithium iron phosphate (LFP) battery that gives a range of 500km (311 miles) according to China’s CLTC test cycle. The WLTP test procedure used for European and UK cars tends to give a slightly shorter range, so we’d expect a maximum of about 240 miles for UK versions.
2026 Leapmotor B03X: price and release date
As with many Chinese cars, value for money is likely to be crucial to the Leapmotor B03X's appeal when it goes on sale in spring 2026. Prices haven’t been confirmed, but the B03X will cost less than the Leapmotor B10, which has a starting price of £29,995 (including Leapmotor’s £1,500 ‘Leap-Grant’ discount).
A starting price of about £25,000 looks about right for the B03X, undercutting the cheapest versions of the Ford Puma Gen-E and Renault 4 E-Tech by a useful margin.
