I do believe the car is very good value for money, the cabin quality is second to none. Also as you'd expect from Audi the bill quality is excellent. What it does like is cruise control it should be standard required this quality. There's also the necessity for mapping certain features like getting the wing mirrors to work automatically when you switch off the engine.

Missing cruise control although mentioned on Car guru website. Other than that the Q3 is a quality car, well built and should achieve 150K miles without a problem.

Audi Q3 (2025-present) Pros and Cons
| Pros | Cons |
|---|---|
| Impressive touchscreen system | Small boot in PHEV model |
| Generous standard equipment | A BMW X1 is more fun to drive |
| Impressive EV range from plug-in hybrid version | Doesn't significantly move the game on from its predecessor |
Quick Summary
The Audi Q3 (2025-present) is a posh compact family SUV that competes well against rivals like the BMW X1, Mercedes-Benz GLA, and Lexus NX. It offers a wide engine range starting with a 148bhp turbocharged 1.5-litre petrol with cylinder on-demand technology, a 2.0-litre turbocharged petrol in 201bhp or 261bhp with quattro all-wheel drive, a 148bhp 2.0 TDI diesel, and a plug-in hybrid variant with up to 73 miles of electric range. The Q3 provides 488-575 litres of boot space with sliding rear seats, a variable height boot floor, and competent handling with optional adaptive dampers and progressive steering.
The Audi Q3 is perfectly recommendable with a good range of engines, competent handling, and a reasonably spacious interior. However, it fails to wow in any particular area, and rivals from less premium brands offer similar virtues for less money. Standard equipment is generous across the range, including LED lights, heated seats, three-zone climate control, adaptive cruise control, and a 360-degree parking camera on base models. Note that only the entry-level 1.5 TFSI in Sport trim comes under £40,000, meaning most Q3s incur the expensive car VED supplement. There is no fully electric version; for that, consider the Audi Q4 e-tron instead.
Best for: Buyers seeking a premium compact SUV with a wide engine choice, including a plug-in hybrid option, and those who value generous standard equipment and brand prestige.
Not ideal for: Those prioritising driving excitement (the BMW X1 is more engaging), maximum boot space, or the best value for money compared to less premium alternatives.
Comparison vs Key Rivals
| Vehicle | CarGurus Expert Rating | CarGurus User Rating | Good/Great deals % | Overall CarGurus Rating |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Audi Q3 | 3/5 | 4.3/5 | 37.7% | 4.4/5 |
| Mercedes-Benz GLA | 4/5 | 4.4/5 | 43.1% | 4.4/5 |
| BMW X1 | 4/5 | 4.5/5 | 39.2% | 4.5/5 |
| Volkswagen Tiguan | 4/5 | 4.8/5 | 43.7% | 4.5/5 |
The Verdict
You should buy the Q3 if: You seek a premium compact SUV with a wide engine choice, including a plug-in hybrid option, and value generous standard equipment and brand prestige.
Consider alternatives if: You prioritise driving excitement, maximum boot space, or the best value for money compared to less premium alternatives.
Competitive Position: The Audi Q3 is a solid contender in the premium compact SUV segment, offering impressive technology, generous standard equipment, and a practical interior with sliding rear seats. However, it struggles to differentiate itself from rivals and doesn't represent exceptional value compared to less premium alternatives. The BMW X1 offers more engaging driving dynamics, whilst the Volkswagen Tiguan and Mercedes-Benz GLA provide better value propositions. The Q3's plug-in hybrid variant is a strong offering with an impressive electric range, making it attractive for company car buyers. Overall, the Q3 is a competent choice for those prioritising brand prestige and standard equipment, but it's worth test-driving rivals before committing.
