Audi Q3 (2025-present) Pros and Cons
| Pros | Cons |
|---|---|
| Impressive touchscreen system | Small boot in PHEV model |
| Generous standard equipment | A BMW X1 is more fun to drive |
| Impressive EV range from plug-in hybrid version | Doesn't significantly move the game on from its predecessor |
Quick Summary
The Audi Q3 (2025-present) remains a popular choice for those seeking a posh compact family SUV, competing with rivals like the BMW X1 and Mercedes GLA. It offers a diverse engine lineup, including efficient petrol and diesel options, and a notable plug-in hybrid (PHEV) with an impressive electric range of up to 73 miles and 50kW DC rapid charging. Practicality is good with 488-575 litres of boot space, thanks to sliding rear seats, though the PHEV model has a smaller 350-litre boot due to battery placement.
While the Q3 provides a competent driving experience, it's not exceptionally engaging, with the 2.0 TFSI quattro offering the most zest. Standard equipment is generous, even on base Sport models, including 18-inch alloys, LED lights, and a 360-degree parking camera. Running costs are generally affordable, and residual values are expected to be strong. However, most models will incur the VED supplement for cars over £40,000, and there's no fully electric variant available.
Best for: Buyers seeking a well-equipped, premium compact SUV with efficient engine options, including a long-range PHEV, and good residual values. It's a sensible choice for families or commuters who appreciate a competent all-rounder.
Not ideal for: Those prioritising a truly engaging driving experience (like a BMW X1), maximum boot space (especially in the PHEV), or buyers specifically looking for a fully electric compact SUV.

The Verdict
You should buy the Q3 if: You're looking for a posh compact family SUV with generous standard equipment, efficient engine options (including a long-range PHEV), and good residual values. It's a sensible, competent all-rounder for families or commuters.
Consider alternatives if: You prioritise an exceptionally engaging driving experience, maximum boot space (especially if considering the PHEV), or require a fully electric compact SUV.
Competitive Position: The Audi Q3 (2025-present) is a strong contender in the premium compact SUV segment, offering a desirable blend of luxury, technology, and practicality. While it might not "wow" in any single area or match rivals like the BMW X1 for sheer driving fun, its comprehensive standard equipment, efficient powertrains (especially the PHEV's impressive electric range), and expected strong residual values make it a highly recommendable choice. However, buyers should note the lack of a fully electric option and the VED supplement for most models, which might steer some towards less premium but equally practical alternatives.

(18 reviews)Audi Q3 are great cars but the one you have advertised as a Q3 is actually an A£!
I do believe the car is very good value for money, the cabin quality is second to none. Also as you'd expect from Audi the bill quality is excellent. What it does like is cruise control it should be standard required this quality. There's also the necessity for mapping certain features like getting the wing mirrors to work automatically when you switch off the engine.
Good looking car with great features. It’s a well built car that holds its value well. The Sportback is a classic design
Excellent car, lovely to drive. Would definitely recommend Audi.
Missing cruise control although mentioned on Car guru website. Other than that the Q3 is a quality car, well built and should achieve 150K miles without a problem.
