Genesis GV60 2026 review | Distinctive and well-equipped premium electric SUV

The Genesis GV60 is a distinctive premium electric SUV that combines strong performance, impressive technology and a genuinely luxurious interior with a unique ownership experience. Based on the same underpinnings as the __[Hyundai Ioniq 5](https://www.cargurus.co.uk/research/Hyundai-IONIQ-5-2021-mg551)__ and __[Kia EV6](https://www.cargurus.co.uk/research/Kia-EV6-2021-mg552)__, it delivers solid electric range, rapid charging capability and pleasant comfort, while later facelifted models benefit from improved standard equipment and a larger battery. It isn’t the most spacious EV in its class, nor the most engaging to drive. And early cars can feel under-equipped for the price. Still, the GV60 remains a compelling leftfield alternative to more conventional premium SUVs.

Reviewed a 2022 Genesis GV60 on Mar 08, 2024

I was very impressed with the Genesis GV60 model although I havent actually seen one in the flesh. The reviews are very complementary about the design and implementation of a high specd model. The materials used in the interior are particularly impressive. Genesis is an off-shoot of Hyundai designing and selling high quality vehicles. Unfortunately they havent been particularly successful in this demanding market and I understand they are being taken back under the wing of their parent company in 2024. Concerns into their long term survival made me think twice about buying a Genesis GV60 preferring to select one of the Ioniq 5 models from the main Hyundai range.
