A genuine off-roader more than an SUV, the Jeep Wrangler mk3 is unsophisticated to the point of crudeness on the road, but wonderfully capable off the beaten track. It is very much a car that is not for everyone, yet if you can cope with its limitations, then you may well consider it charming, characterful and an old fashioned antidote to today’s over-polished SUVs.
