The CC was one of a number of bodystyles offered with the Peugeot 207 supermini, alongside the three- and five-door hatchbacks, and the estate. The moniker CC stood for ‘Coupe Convertible’, and the car had a retractable solid roof that folded down into a compartment above the boot, beneath the bootlid. The car had four seats, but the two in the rear were extremely tight on space. It was launched at the end of 2006, about six months after the hatchback, and replaced the 206 CC, which was very similar in concept. It competed with the likes of the Mitsubishi Colt CZC and the Vauxhall Tigra.
