Pleasantly surprised on how good it is for the money. Forced out of my Land Rover due to requirements as a wheelchair user and the Allied adapted version is ideal. An extra star would be issued for having front sensors as standard

Peugeot e-Rifter Pros and Cons
| Pros | Cons |
|---|---|
| Large and very versatile cabin | Forgettable driving experience |
| Long model has space for seven | Lacks the image and style of an SUV |
| Excellent value for money | Diesel and petrol versions no longer available |
Quick Summary
The Peugeot e-Rifter is an electric MPV designed for families who value space, practicality and easy access over the fashion-led appeal of an SUV. First introduced in 2018, it became fully electric in 2022, making it one of the first family MPVs to go all-electric. The e-Rifter uses a 136bhp electric motor paired with a 52kWh battery, delivering an official range of 199 miles. It's offered in two body lengths: the Standard model with five seats and the Long version with up to seven seats, both featuring sliding rear doors for easy access in tight parking spaces.
Few cars are as practical as the e-Rifter. The Standard five-seat version offers up to 700 litres of boot space, whilst the Long provides 209 litres with all seven seats in place. Remove the third row and that increases to an impressive 1,050 litres in the Standard or 3,500 litres in the Long. The e-Rifter feels most at home in towns and cities, where its electric drivetrain and van-based layout work in its favour. However, motorway efficiency isn't great, and high speeds will significantly reduce the projected range. For low running costs, practicality and fuss-free charm, the e-Rifter is one of the most sensible electric vehicles you can buy.
Best for: Families seeking a practical, spacious electric MPV for school runs and urban driving, those prioritising versatility and boot space over driving dynamics, and company car drivers benefiting from low Benefit-in-Kind rates.
Not ideal for: Buyers seeking a glamorous or sporty driving experience, those requiring petrol or diesel options, or drivers planning frequent long motorway journeys.

|---|---|---|---|---|
| Peugeot e-Rifter | 4/5 | 4.0/5 | 31.5% | 4.1/5 |

The Verdict
You should buy the e-Rifter if: You're a family seeking a practical, spacious electric MPV for school runs and urban driving, prioritising versatility and boot space over driving dynamics, or a company car driver benefiting from low Benefit-in-Kind rates.
Consider alternatives if: You seek a glamorous or sporty driving experience, require petrol or diesel options, or plan frequent long motorway journeys.
Competitive Position: The Peugeot e-Rifter is a highly practical electric MPV that stands out for its versatility and space. Whilst the Citroen Berlingo offers slightly better value and the Dacia Jogger provides an even cheaper seven-seat option, the e-Rifter delivers a compelling package of practicality, low running costs and fuss-free charm. It's an excellent choice for families prioritising electric motoring without compromising on space or flexibility. The Ford Tourneo Connect offers similar practicality but with traditional engine options, making it better suited to those requiring longer-range capability.
