The Porsche 911. The default sports car. Buying one might suggest a lack of imagination on your part, but the 911’s enduring appeal, and resultant omnipresence, is down to it being a hugely compelling and desirable choice. It fulfils its sports car role particularly well, but to that it adds practicality and genuine day-to-day usability, both of which rarely applicable to its rivals. All-round excellent car. Might be old (7 years) but in pristine condition and low mileage. 2-year manufacturers warranty provides extra peace of mind, but I expect it will be in good shape for many years to come.
