Unveiled in 2021, the Renault Megane E-Tech pairs a familiar name with a new body style. Whereas the Megane used to be a hatchback to rival the Volkswagen Golf, the Megane E-Tech is an electric crossover that squares up to the Peugeot e-2008 and Skoda Elroq. With all models priced below £36,000 at the time of writing, an attractive design and surprisingly good driving dynamics, there’s a lot to like about the Megane E-Tech. Yet there are also one or two niggles, such as poor rearward visibility and the oddly shaped boot, that might really get under your skin.
