The Renault Rafale is an SUV coupe that’s Renault’s flagship model in the UK. It’s about the same size as an Audi Q5 Sportback and available only as a hybrid or plug-in hybrid model. Higher-spec versions are packed with hi-tech features and have four-wheel drive as standard. It’s a hard car to pigeonhole, but rivals include the BMW X2 and X4, Citroen C5 X and Peugeot 408.
