I can recommend Skodas as reliable and sturdy. I drove Skodas as Taxis for many years and more and more Taxi owners adopted them as vehicle of choice for their business.

The Skoda Fabia 1.4 petrol is a cracking little car, packed brim full with useful features. It consistently comes in the top 5 small estate cars. Easy to drive, loads of space, all the safety features, excellent adjustment for seat height, fire and aft adjustment and steering wheel adjustment. Quiet to drive and very economical. Highly recommended

The cars are great but has been hard to find a unabused one with proper service history , especially for the dsg gearbox which must be serviced every 40000 miles.
