The Suzuki Across is a rugged, sturdy plug-in hybrid SUV with a solid electric-only range and good all-round abilities. However, it's a little pricey for a car from this Japanese brand, which usually offers more affordable models, and it's not far off premium carmaker territory on that score. But, as it’s based on the tried-and-tested Toyota RAV4, the Across should prove to be a reliable car.
