The Toyota Yaris has long been a popular small city car, and a default option for anyone after an affordable small hybrid car with famously excellent reliability. Only the hybrid Honda Jazz of the same vintage offered a direct rival, although many newer rivals now offer some form of hybrid propulsion. The Yaris may not be as efficient as you expect, though, and there are rivals that are better to drive and live with.

Nice little car, with good engine, nice steering, very smooth on the road. Toyota is Toyota. The minute I got in, I was comfortable.

Bodywork in good nick, reasonable mileage for its age. My last Yaris (Spirit) got nicked and I think this will be a good replacement. Can't wait to pick it up.

I wouldn't recommend 1.3 manual Yaris. Slow acceleration despite 1..3. 1.5 hybrid is the variant to go for.

This model benefits from a larger interior boot and rear passenger room space then the newer models, whilst getting the benefits of Toyotas hybrid system.
