The mk5 Vauxhall Astra is a fine all-rounder for those looking for a family car on a budget. It’s good to drive, with a comfortable ride and agile handling, and although it’s not the most practical hatchback of its type, it’s still roomy enough for a small family. It’s well built, has a decent amount of equipment, and with very low prices and affordable running costs, it’s top value for money.
