Overview
The BMW 1 Series M135i is a high-performance version of the 1 Series. All three generations of the 1 Series have offered an M135i variant at some point, and each is powered by a turbocharged 3.0-litre inline-six engine with upwards of 300 horsepower, although periodical engine upgrades increased power levels incrementally over time. Early M135is were rear-wheel drive, late ones were four-wheel drive, and those in the middle could be had with either.
