2026 Dacia Striker: Price, Specs and Release Date

by Leo Wilkinson

Dacia’s rapidly expanding lineup will grow again later this year, when it introduces the 2026 Dacia Striker. Part estate, part SUV, it’s a mid-size family car that blurs boundaries and will be available with hybrid power and four-wheel drive.

Full details haven’t been released, but here’s what we know so far about the 2026 Dacia Striker.

2026 Dacia Striker: styling and dimensions

Is it an estate car, an SUV or a hatchback? The Striker combines elements of all three, so we’d go along with Dacia’s description of it as a crossover. Dacia hasn’t provided full details of the Striker’s dimensions yet, but it has revealed that it’s 4.62 metres long, making it 5cm (about 2 inches) longer than the Bigster SUV that it shares many parts with.

A slightly curvier front end gives the Striker a less SUV-ish look, while the T-shaped rear lights and diagonal trim details on the front doors give it an edgier appearance than any Dacia to date.

2026 Dacia Striker: interior design and practicality

Dacia hasn’t released any images of the Striker’s interior, but we expect it will be almost identical to that of the Bigster. No bad thing, since it's pleasantly styled and refreshingly simple. In the Bigster, a large central touchscreen is supplemented by a decent helping of physical switches – a user-friendly set-up that’s likely to be carried over.

Interior space should be very generous. Headroom may be slightly down on the Bigster due to the Striker’s lower roofline, but there should still be plenty of space for four adults to sit comfortably.

While the Striker’s rakish profile means it will probably have less space than the Bigster with its rear seat folded, boot space to the load cover could be similar, making it a hugely practical choice.

2026 Dacia Striker: engines and driving dynamics

There's no word on which engines will be available for the Striker, but Dacia has confirmed there'll be hybrid and four-wheel drive options. We'd be surprised if it wasn't offered with the same mild-hybrid 1.2 petrol and manual gearbox combo as the Bigster, while the full-hybrid, four-wheel-drive alternative is expected to be Dacia’s newest hybrid setup, which combines a 1.2-litre petrol engine with a small electric motor at the rear.

2026 Dacia Striker: price and release date

Dacia has suggested a starting price ‘below €25,000’ for the Striker in European markets, so we’d expect an entry point of about £24,000 in the UK. That would fit neatly between the Duster and Bigster, which start at almost £22,000 and just over £25,000 respectively.

2026 Dacia Striker rear Considering the space it’s likely to offer, the Striker could be one of the best-value family cars around. Load space could be on a par with larger, more expensive SUVs, as well as estate versions of family favourites such as the Vauxhall Astra and Skoda Octavia; both of which have starting prices of almost £30,000.

More details are due to be announced in June 2026, before the Striker goes on sale later in the year.
