Audi Q3 (2025-present) Pros and Cons
| Pros | Cons |
|---|---|
| Impressive touchscreen system | Small boot in PHEV model |
| Generous standard equipment | A BMW X1 is more fun to drive |
| Impressive EV range from plug-in hybrid version | Doesn't significantly move the game on from its predecessor |
Quick Summary
The Audi Q3 (2025-present) is a popular premium compact family SUV, blending luxury with practicality. It offers a diverse engine line-up, including 1.5-litre and 2.0-litre petrol options (with quattro available), a 2.0 TDI diesel, and an e-Hybrid plug-in hybrid variant boasting an impressive 73-mile electric range and 50kW rapid charging. While its handling is competent and its interior reasonably spacious with sliding rear seats (except for the PHEV), the Q3 doesn't dramatically outshine its rivals in any single area.
Standard equipment is generous, even on base Sport models, including 18-inch alloys, LED lights, heated seats, adaptive cruise control, and a 360-degree camera, which helps justify its slightly higher starting price. Running costs are generally affordable, with good residual values and excellent Benefit-in-Kind prospects for the PHEV, though most models incur the expensive car VED supplement. It's a solid, well-rounded choice for those seeking a premium SUV, even if it doesn't introduce groundbreaking advancements.
Best for: Buyers looking for a posh compact family SUV with generous standard equipment, a wide range of efficient engine options (including a long-range PHEV), and decent practicality with sliding rear seats.
Not ideal for: Those prioritising a more engaging driving experience, maximum boot space (especially in the PHEV), or buyers who wish to avoid the expensive car VED supplement.

The Verdict
You should buy the Q3 if: You're seeking a premium compact family SUV with generous standard equipment, a wide range of efficient engine options (including a long-range PHEV), and decent practicality with sliding rear seats.
Consider alternatives if: You prioritise a more engaging driving experience, need maximum boot space (especially in the PHEV), or wish to avoid the expensive car VED supplement.
Competitive Position: The Audi Q3 (2025-present) is a strong contender in the premium compact SUV market, offering a luxurious feel, generous standard equipment, and a versatile powertrain line-up including an impressive plug-in hybrid. While it provides competent handling and good practicality, it doesn't dramatically surpass rivals in any single area and can be pricier. Its appeal lies in its brand image and comprehensive features, making it a solid, if not groundbreaking, choice for those seeking a well-rounded premium SUV.

(18 reviews)Audi Q3 are great cars but the one you have advertised as a Q3 is actually an A£!
I do believe the car is very good value for money, the cabin quality is second to none. Also as you'd expect from Audi the bill quality is excellent. What it does like is cruise control it should be standard required this quality. There's also the necessity for mapping certain features like getting the wing mirrors to work automatically when you switch off the engine.
Good looking car with great features. It’s a well built car that holds its value well. The Sportback is a classic design
Excellent car, lovely to drive. Would definitely recommend Audi.
Missing cruise control although mentioned on Car guru website. Other than that the Q3 is a quality car, well built and should achieve 150K miles without a problem.
