I do believe the car is very good value for money, the cabin quality is second to none. Also as you'd expect from Audi the bill quality is excellent. What it does like is cruise control it should be standard required this quality. There's also the necessity for mapping certain features like getting the wing mirrors to work automatically when you switch off the engine.

Missing cruise control although mentioned on Car guru website. Other than that the Q3 is a quality car, well built and should achieve 150K miles without a problem.

Audi Q3 (2025-present) Pros and Cons
| Pros | Cons |
|---|---|
| Impressive touchscreen system | Small boot in PHEV model |
| Generous standard equipment | A BMW X1 is more fun to drive |
| Impressive EV range from plug-in hybrid version | Doesn't significantly move the game on from its predecessor |
Quick Summary
The Audi Q3 (2025-present) is a posh compact family SUV that competes well against rivals like the BMW X1, Mercedes-Benz GLA, and Lexus NX. It offers a comprehensive engine range starting with a front-wheel-drive 148bhp turbocharged 1.5-litre petrol, progressing to a 2.0-litre turbocharged petrol in 201bhp or 261bhp with quattro all-wheel drive, a 148bhp 2.0 TDI diesel, and a plug-in hybrid variant with up to 73 miles of electric range. The Q3 provides 488–575 litres of boot space with sliding rear seats, a well-appointed interior with plenty of standard equipment, and competent handling across all variants.
The Q3 is perfectly recommendable with a good range of engines, competent handling, and a reasonably spacious interior. However, it fails to wow in any particular area, and rivals from less premium brands offer similar virtues for less money. The plug-in hybrid variant boasts the longest electric range in its class, making it attractive for company car buyers. Note that only the entry-level 1.5 TFSI Sport trim comes in under £40,000, meaning most Q3s incur the expensive car VED supplement. There is no fully electric Q3; for that, consider the Audi Q4 e-tron instead.
Best for: Buyers seeking premium brand appeal, a wide engine choice including a plug-in hybrid, generous standard equipment, and competent all-round performance in a compact SUV.
Not ideal for: Those prioritising driving excitement (the BMW X1 is more engaging), maximum boot space, or the best value for money compared to less premium rivals.
Comparison vs Key Rivals
| Vehicle | CarGurus Expert Rating | CarGurus User Rating | Good/Great deals % | Overall CarGurus Rating |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Audi Q3 | 3/5 | 4.3/5 | 38.6% | 4.4/5 |
| BMW X1 | 4/5 | 4.5/5 | 39.5% | 4.5/5 |
| Mercedes-Benz GLA | 4/5 | 4.2/5 | 39.7% | 4.4/5 |
| Volkswagen Tiguan | 4/5 | 4.8/5 | 38.5% | 4.4/5 |
The Verdict
You should buy the Q3 if: You value premium brand appeal, want a wide choice of engines including a plug-in hybrid, appreciate generous standard equipment, and seek competent all-round performance in a compact SUV.
Consider alternatives if: You prioritise driving excitement, need maximum boot space, or want the best value for money compared to less premium rivals.
Competitive Position: The Audi Q3 is a solid contender in the premium compact SUV segment, offering impressive standard equipment, a comprehensive engine range, and a well-appointed interior. Whilst it doesn't match the BMW X1 for driving engagement or offer the value proposition of less premium alternatives, its blend of prestige, practicality, and technology makes it a competent choice. The plug-in hybrid variant stands out with its impressive electric range, particularly appealing to company car buyers. However, prospective buyers should test drive rivals before committing, as competitors offer similar virtues at lower price points or with greater driving appeal.
