I do believe the car is very good value for money, the cabin quality is second to none. Also as you'd expect from Audi the bill quality is excellent. What it does like is cruise control it should be standard required this quality. There's also the necessity for mapping certain features like getting the wing mirrors to work automatically when you switch off the engine.

Missing cruise control although mentioned on Car guru website. Other than that the Q3 is a quality car, well built and should achieve 150K miles without a problem.

Audi Q3 (2025-present) Pros and Cons
| Pros | Cons |
|---|---|
| Impressive touchscreen system | Small boot in PHEV model |
| Generous standard equipment | A BMW X1 is more fun to drive |
| Impressive EV range from plug-in hybrid version | Doesn't significantly move the game on from its predecessor |
Quick Summary
The Audi Q3 (2025-present) is a posh compact family SUV that competes well against rivals like the BMW X1, Mercedes-Benz GLA, and Lexus NX. It offers a comprehensive engine range starting with a front-wheel-drive 148bhp turbocharged 1.5-litre petrol, progressing to 2.0-litre turbocharged petrol engines with 201 or 261bhp and quattro all-wheel drive. A 148bhp 2.0 TDI diesel is also available, alongside a plug-in hybrid variant with an impressive 73-mile electric range. The Q3 provides 488–575 litres of boot space with sliding rear seats, variable height boot floor, and competent handling with optional adaptive dampers and progressive steering.
The Q3 is perfectly recommendable with a wide engine range, competent handling, and a reasonably spacious interior. However, it fails to wow in any particular area, and rivals from less premium brands offer similar virtues for less money. Standard equipment is generous across the range, including LED lights, heated seats, three-zone climate control, adaptive cruise control, and a 360-degree parking camera. Running costs should be affordable, and residual values should be strong given demand for used Audi SUVs. Note that only the entry-level 1.5 TFSI Sport trim comes in under £40,000, meaning most Q3s incur the expensive car VED supplement.
Best for: Buyers seeking a premium compact SUV with impressive technology, generous standard equipment, and a plug-in hybrid option for company car tax benefits.
Not ideal for: Those prioritising driving engagement (the BMW X1 is more fun), maximum boot space, or seeking the best value in the compact SUV segment.
Comparison vs Key Rivals

|---|---|---|---|---|
| Audi Q3 | 3/5 | 4.3/5 | 33.9% | 4.4/5 |
| BMW X1 | 4/5 | 4.5/5 | 35.2% | 4.5/5 |
| Volkswagen Tiguan | 4/5 | 4.8/5 | 35.2% | 4.4/5 |
| Mercedes-Benz GLA | 4/5 | 4.4/5 | 36.2% | 4.4/5 |
The Verdict
You should buy the Q3 if: You seek a premium compact SUV with impressive technology, generous standard equipment, and a plug-in hybrid option for company car tax benefits.
Consider alternatives if: You prioritise driving engagement, maximum boot space, or the best value in the compact SUV segment.
Competitive Position: The Audi Q3 is a solid contender in the premium compact SUV market, offering impressive technology, generous standard equipment, and a comprehensive engine range including a plug-in hybrid. However, it fails to significantly advance from its predecessor and lacks the driving engagement of the BMW X1 or the practicality of larger rivals. The Volkswagen Tiguan offers similar virtues on the same platform at a lower price point, whilst the Mercedes-Benz GLA provides alternative premium appeal. For buyers prioritising brand prestige and technology over outright value or driving dynamics, the Q3 remains a competent choice.
