Dacia Jogger (2026) Pros and Cons

Pros	Cons
Outstanding value for money	Seats lack support
Seven seats as standard	Lots of engine and tyre noise
Willing engines	Poor Euro NCAP safety rating

Quick Summary

The Dacia Jogger is a seven-seater family car that delivers exceptional value for money. Based on the Renault Clio platform with an extended wheelbase and raised roofline, it accommodates seven people whilst maintaining compact external dimensions that make it easy to drive. Starting from £18,995, it offers seven seats as standard, with flexible seating configurations providing up to 2,085 litres of boot space when fully reconfigured. The Jogger combines practicality with affordability, making it an attractive option for families seeking a spacious vehicle without premium pricing.

Two engine options are available: a 1.0-litre turbocharged petrol delivering 110bhp with real-world fuel economy of 45-50mpg, and a 1.6-litre petrol hybrid offering 55-60mpg. Both engines provide adequate performance, though the petrol unit is notably vocal with vibrations evident through the controls. Ride comfort is respectable, and the narrow body combined with light steering makes it straightforward to manoeuvre. Running costs are impressively low, with predicted residual values of 55-60 percent after three years. Whilst the Jogger has rough edges—including limited sound deadening, narrow outer rear seats, and a poor Euro NCAP safety rating—its exceptional value proposition and practical design make it compelling for budget-conscious families.

Best for: Budget-conscious families seeking a spacious seven-seater, those prioritising practicality and low running costs, and buyers wanting maximum value for money.

Not ideal for: Buyers prioritising premium comfort, sophisticated technology, or those for whom family safety ratings are paramount.

Comparison vs Key Rivals

The Verdict

You should buy the Jogger if: You're budget-conscious, seeking a spacious seven-seater, prioritising practicality and low running costs, or wanting maximum value for money.

Consider alternatives if: You prioritise premium comfort, sophisticated technology, or family safety ratings are paramount in your decision-making.

Competitive Position: The Dacia Jogger stands out in the seven-seater market through its exceptional value proposition and outstanding user satisfaction rating of 5.0 out of 5. Whilst rivals like the Kia Sorento and Skoda Kodiaq offer superior expert ratings and overall CarGurus ratings, they command significantly higher prices. The Jogger's 37.8 percent good/great deals availability is the highest among its competitors, reflecting its strong value credentials. For families prioritising affordability without sacrificing practicality, the Jogger is a compelling choice, though those seeking premium refinement or top-tier safety credentials may prefer more expensive alternatives.
