The Honda Super-N is a wonderful new electric car from this famously reliable Japanese brand. It wears its Japanese roots on its sleeve, with a boxy, upright and space-efficient design – along with tiny dimensions that give it one of the smallest footprints on the market. Despite this, it's surprisingly roomy inside, and has large car levels of equipment too, including a standard Bose sound system. All this for a bargain price of £18,995.

It's a hoot to drive, with sporty suspension giving it loads of grip. Hip-hugging seats keep you firmly in place, and an ingenious 'Boost' mode gives it the EV oomph to make the most of it. The only thing that's likely to deter some is its sub-130-mile range. But then, keep it in the city environment it was designed for, and even this isn't a major hurdle. The Honda Super-N really is an EV you can fall in love with.
