Hyundai i10 Pros and Cons
| Pros | Cons |

| Economical and well equipped | No three-door version |
| Generous warranty | Not as much fun to drive as a Seat Ibiza |
Quick Summary
The Hyundai i10, released in 2020, is Hyundai's smallest car, a supermini designed for everyday use. It's praised for its smart styling, especially with optional two-tone paint. In a shrinking city car market, the i10 stands out as one of the best, backed by Hyundai's excellent five-year unlimited mileage warranty. Despite its compact exterior, it offers surprising practicality with a versatile five-door bodystyle, ample space for four adults (even two six-footers in the back), good visibility, and a 252-litre boot.
On the road, the i10 impressively balances comfort and composure, handling potholes with ease and feeling secure on country roads, which is rare for its price point. Its small turning circle and light steering make it ideal for city driving. While the 1.0-litre MPi engine is suitable for urban use, the 1.2-litre MPi is recommended for more versatility, and the turbocharged 1.0-litre T-GDi in the N Line offers surprising performance. Running costs are low, with frugal petrol engines (up to 56.5mpg), low insurance groups (3-10), and reasonable service costs, making it an economical and reliable choice.
Best for: Drivers seeking an affordable, practical, and economical city car with a generous warranty; those needing a reliable everyday runabout; buyers prioritising comfort and ease of driving in urban environments.
Not ideal for: Buyers who want Apple CarPlay/Android Auto on entry-level models; those looking for a three-door car; drivers prioritising thrilling dynamics over comfort.

The Verdict
You should buy the i10 if: You're on a budget, seeking a sensible, practical, and economical city car with a generous warranty, or need a reliable everyday runabout suitable for urban driving.
Consider alternatives if: You want Apple CarPlay/Android Auto on entry-level models, are looking for a three-door car, or prioritise a more thrilling driving experience over comfort.
Competitive Position: The Hyundai i10 stands out as a benchmark in the shrinking city car segment, offering an exceptional blend of practicality, economy, and comfort for its price point. While some rivals might offer a sportier drive or more standard tech on base models, the i10's robust build, generous five-year warranty, and low running costs make it an incredibly sensible and highly recommended choice for budget-conscious buyers and urban commuters.

4.7 Overall rating
(23 reviews)I am very happy with the car. It drives well for a 1.2 and is comfortable. We have a 4 door but space in back of the car and in the boot is very small. But this car suits our needs very well.
I bought the 1.2 ltr SE model which is plenty nippy enough for me. I dont need Alloys, Heated seats, or Sat Nav. I would have liked rear parking sensors, but as it is a small car this is not a problem. It has a good all round view and is not difficult to park. I It is more roomy than other cars in this class like the Skoda Citigo or the VW UP. It is also less expensive, but holds its value pretty well. I choose an automatic which has a very smooth gear change, unlike the Skoda Citigo, which was extremely jerky. The only car I thought was better was the Ford Fiesta, but in my opinion was very overpriced.
Good condition: Body work, Interior, mechanically. Meets our requirements for a second vehicle at a price tag which, in or onion was great value for the condition and mileage. Our previous experience with the Hyundai Brand has been excellent so did no compare other brands in our decision.
Excellent car. Very nippy. Lots of features on the car which is typical of Hyundai way ahead of time
I have been looking for a smallish car and the Hyundai i10 was just perfect size as I am a woman driver easy to drive good insurance cheap tax very good value and the price of the car was perfect for me.
