There’s an awful lot to like about the Hyundai i40, not least its relaxed motorway manners, generous cabin space, solid build quality and affordable running costs. It may not be the most desirable, the most dynamically engaging, or the strongest performing car in the sector, but when it comes to meeting the everyday needs of a growing family on a tight budget, it’s right on the money.

Very stylist, a lot of car for the money. Drives and comfort is exceptional, the blue drive model is only £30 road tax a year.

This model is getting a bit dated, maybe that’s why they stopped making it four years ago. A good family car that’s true but there are other makes and models offering a better deal.
