Overall, owners of the Jaguar F-PACE appreciate its comfort, performance, and reliable handling across various model years. They particularly like the responsive steering and spacious interior, enhanced by features like panoramic roofs. However, some drivers have noted that certain luxury touches and advanced tech features are lacking compared to rivals, ranging from wireless charging to a more refined feel. There are also mixed feelings about how well the interior finishes hold up over time.

Comparing to E-Pace same year 2020 similar model the trim level isnt as nice. It feels less luxurious. However its still pure class. And the glass roof makes traveling in the back so nice. Mpg in the 2lt diesel version averages mid 40s mpg. Its a solid capable large car. The E-Pace was a really nice car to drive and look at however boot space was lacking and I was forever getting battery issues.

I love the cars features and the Jaguar heritage it's a very Happy place to be. I also think it's great value for money. I was initially looking at the Audi Q5 series of SUV but the small boot and unreliability issues put me off.

Jaguar F-Pace (2016-present) Pros and Cons
| Pros | Cons |
|---|---|
| Great to drive | High running costs with V8 models |
| Good standard equipment | Poor interior quality on pre-facelift cars |
| Roomy and practical | Firm ride, especially on larger wheels |
Quick Summary
The Jaguar F-Pace (2016-present) is Jaguar's first venture into the premium midsize SUV market, delivering a performance-focused alternative to established rivals like the Audi Q5, BMW X3, and Mercedes-Benz GLC. From launch, it impressed with sharp styling, responsive handling, advanced technology, and a diverse engine line-up ranging from economical diesels to a thrilling supercharged V8. The F-Pace prioritises engaging driving dynamics without compromising comfort or practicality, making it an appealing choice for those seeking a sensible yet exciting family SUV.
The F-Pace has evolved considerably throughout its lifespan, most notably with a comprehensive 2021 facelift that transformed the interior quality and infotainment system from dated to class-leading. Modern examples feature the excellent Pivi Pro touchscreen, plusher materials, and improved ergonomics. Engine options now include efficient diesels (D200, D300), responsive petrols (P250, P400), a plug-in hybrid (P400e), and the exhilarating SVR with a 5.0-litre V8 producing up to 567bhp. All current engines come with all-wheel drive and automatic transmission. Practicality is impressive, with most versions offering over 600 litres of boot space, though the P400e plug-in hybrid sacrifices capacity for its battery pack.
Best for: Drivers seeking a premium SUV that's genuinely fun to drive, families wanting a roomy and well-equipped vehicle, and those who value sharp handling and responsive steering alongside practicality.
Not ideal for: Buyers prioritising maximum comfort over sportiness, those seeking the lowest running costs, or those unwilling to pay premium prices for replacement tyres on larger wheel options.

The Verdict
You should buy the F-Pace if: You're seeking a premium SUV that's genuinely fun to drive, want a roomy and well-equipped family vehicle, or value sharp handling and responsive steering alongside practicality.
Consider alternatives if: You prioritise maximum comfort over sportiness, seek the lowest running costs, or are unwilling to pay premium prices for replacement tyres on larger wheel options.
Competitive Position: The Jaguar F-Pace is a compelling choice in the premium midsize SUV segment, offering superior driving dynamics and engaging handling that rivals struggle to match. Whilst the BMW X3 edges ahead on expert rating and the Audi Q5 matches it on value, the F-Pace delivers a more thrilling driving experience with excellent standard equipment and impressive practicality. The 2021 facelift significantly improved interior quality, bringing it in line with German competitors. Its diverse engine range, from efficient diesels to the exhilarating SVR V8, caters to various buyer preferences. However, potential owners should be aware of firm ride quality on larger wheels and higher running costs with performance variants. For those prioritising driving enjoyment alongside family practicality, the F-Pace represents outstanding value in its class.
