The Mercedes C-Class is long-established compact executive saloon that takes on the BMW 3-Series and the Audi A4. It’s available with a good range of plug-in hybrid, diesel and petrol engines, and also has a lovely interior with hi-tech infotainment. It’s not quite as enthusiastic a driver’s car as the BMW 3 Series, but the PHEV offers a class-leading electric range and the interior is arguably the best of any compact executive car, so it has a lot going for it.

Excellent value for the money drives with no issues in really good all round condition
This car has lots of good features, but the navigation screen looks somewhat stuck on, unlike the E-class and there should be manual versions
Excellent car fully loaded drives amazing great on fuel and a great looking car
Nice looking car but web search brings up lots of common problems that are expensive to get repaired, decided to go with another manufacturer
