The new Mercedes-Benz CLA is the first of a new era of cars from the German manufacturer. It gets a new platform, an EV range of close to 500 miles, and will eventually be available as a hybrid. There are more practical alternatives, and some with more appealing interiors, but the CLA is extremely efficient, fantastic to drive, and sets new standards for small premium saloons in a lot of key areas.
