The Mercedes-Benz GLB takes a different approach to many premium compact SUVs by prioritising practicality over sporty styling. Its upright shape and cleverly packaged cabin mean it offers something genuinely unusual in this class: proper seven-seat versatility within a relatively compact footprint. The only direct rival to match it here is the Land Rover Discovery Sport.
Even though there was a full-fat AMG version, the GLB is not especially exciting to drive and some versions can feel quite firm over poor road surfaces. However, the GLB makes up for this with a high-quality interior and one of the best infotainment systems in its class. For families who want premium-badged practicality without moving up to a larger and more expensive family SUV, the GLB makes a lot of sense.

Good small SUV, the 220d engine felt correct for the car. Interior fittings more SUV than limo., but liveable. Did not buy as rear seats are too hard for my intended use.

Great car plenty of kit on Prem Plus , plenty of power if you need it with only 1300 petrol which keeps insurance low Great space for families and the dog

I only had a short test drive, but the car is very comfortable, spacious and ultra modern inside. It drives well and is quiet and refined. If your looking for a smallish 7 seater, it needs to be on your list.
