Mercedes-Benz GLC-Class

The GLC is Mercedes’ offering in the mid-size SUV market. The first generation replaced the GLK-Class when it was launched in 2015, and the second version arrived in 2023. As you would expect with a premium SUV, it trades on its high-quality cabin, refinement, and plentiful equipment, while there’s also a plug-in hybrid model with a large electric-only range and low emissions, which is a boon for company car drivers, in particular. It goes up against the likes of the Audi Q5, the BMW X3, and the Volvo XC60, although it is quite expensive next to its core competitors.

The model I chose being a GLC 250D Premium Plus AMG Line has a good luxury specification and performance. For an SUV this is a reasonably economical vehicle. 2016 makes it also car road tax efficient. Also the car insurance is not astronomical.
