Porsche 911 996 Review (1997-2003)
4
of 5 overall
Driving5/5
Practicality3/5
Running costs2/5
Tech and equipment4/5
This version of the Porsche 911 – known by enthusiasts as the 996 – is the version that spans the gap between the classic (and now very expensive) models and the more recent modern examples. Although it’s of an age where it’s moderately affordable, the 996 remains perfectly viable for everyday motoring, while enthusiast drivers will revel in its outright pace and sense of involvement behind the steering wheel.
