There are better all-rounders out there, but the Renault Megane is still a pleasant enough family car, with a comfortable ride, a reasonably smart interior and a selection of decent engines. It isn’t the most exciting thing in the world to drive, though, and the entertainment system can be fiddly to use. The plug-in hybrid version, however, makes a particularly good company car.

I had a 2016 MK 4 Renault Megane 1.6 diesel Dynamique Nav. I absolutely loved this car. Unfortunately, it got written off, but I would recommend it to anyone looking for a good, reliable, economic car.

It’s a lot of car for not a lot of money. I grabbed a great bargain with this car. Apple play , in addition to all the toys and extras including pearlescent paint for a fraction of the BMW 3 series touring I was considering. Not my 1st Renault but I’m glad I chose this one
