We were looking for a small car with good range without it costing the earth. Looking at prices we targeted a Renault Zoe, R135 GT Line with Rapid/ CCS charging. Neither my wife or myself had ever driven an automatic or EV. We were amazed at the vehicle, nice drive and handling, very brisk and the level of tech with newer/ EVs is impressive. In fact there is so much tech on board I dont know if we will ever find everything but if you are looking for a second user EV, with great spec, great range a used Renault Zoe is a great starting point. Checking prices on CarGurus helped to give us an idea of what sort of prices these vehicles were going for....seems second user vehicles are now affordable for many, thanks.

Fantastic first car for my daughter to learn to drive in. Locally. All electric features Only issue is fully charged battery 8 years old only provides around 80 miles of driving.

The Renault Zoe (2020-2024) is a thoroughly revamped electric supermini that builds on the model's pioneering heritage. The second-generation Zoe features new styling, improved interior technology, an increased driving range, and enhanced performance with a more powerful electric motor delivering 134bhp. The five-door layout provides easy access to rear seats, whilst the 338-litre boot is generous for a supermini, though a large load lip and step in the load area when folding seats can be inconvenient.
The Zoe is exceptionally smooth and quiet to drive, zipping around town effortlessly with its responsive electric motor. Ride quality is mostly good, and it feels composed on motorways and reasonably fun on quiet B-roads. Running costs are exceptionally affordable compared to petrol or diesel cars, with home charging costing roughly half the price of a full tank of fuel. The model is exempt from Vehicle Excise Duty and London's Congestion Charge. Renault has ditched the battery lease option, making ownership simpler and improving resale values. However, the Zoe's EuroNCAP safety rating is a concern, and rapid DC charging requires an optional upgrade costing extra.
